The Springdale Athletic Foundation has named Donald Tucker as the Springdale Athletic
Foundation Executive Director.
“I am honored and appreciative for the support and confidence the Springdale Athletic Foundation Board, Superintendent Dr. Jared Cleveland and Executive Director of Athletics Keith Fimple have given me,” Tucker said. “I grew up in Springdale, and to be able to be a part of an amazing team that helps the kids in our community and this great district is a dream come true.”
The Springdale Athletic Foundation was established in 2011 with the mission of enhancing the quality of and interest in Springdale Public Schools’ athletics by procuring and providing funds for student-athletes, facilities, equipment and staff development, according to the nonprofit’s website.
Tucker comes to the district as a small business entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience as a small business owner of a medical courier company and an information technology company.
“I have served Springdale athletics for the past 15 years,” he added, “most notably as the ‘Voice of the Wildcats.’"
“Donald Tucker is committed to the community of Springdale and Springdale athletics,” Cleveland said. “He works tirelessly to advance the excellence of athletics in our district. I’m looking forward to his contributions and the effects it will have for generations.”
Tucker said he looks forward to using his connections, community partnerships and fundraising skills in support of Springdale athletics.
"The Springdale Athletics department is excited about working with Donald Tucker,” Fimple said. “Donald's dedication to student-athletes, commitment to Springdale athletics, strong work ethic and determination for positive change make him a valuable addition to the team."
Tucker graduated from Springdale High School in 1990 and is married to Hunt Elementary School teacher Stephanie Tucker. The couple has four children, 2013 Har-Ber High School graduate Blake Tucker, 2015 HBHS graduate Katie Tucker, 2022 HBHS graduate Camden Tucker and HBHS junior Maddox Tucker.
Tucker said he spends his free time traveling with his family and making memories when he’s not livestreaming district athletic events for the Springdale Athletic Foundation.
