Don Tyson School of Innovation uses an instructional model based on the Springdale Public Schools framework, GRADES!, and The New Art and Science of Teaching by Dr. Robert Marzano.
To support the effective implementation of this instructional model, all teachers:
Set annual goals (Professional Growth Plans) to improve their teaching
Receive regular feedback from coaches and administrators
Learn through job-embedded professional development, coaching and support
Observe and learn from other teachers (Instructional Rounds)
