Thanks to Ozzy Flores and Sandy Stout with Harp’s Foods, who donated a meat wrapping machine to Springdale High! Both talked with Brittney Davis’ students today about how to cut the meat that was donated by Tyson Foods, how to wrap meat and careers with Harp’s! #SpringdaleFamily

Talented #SpringdaleFamily teachers and students attended a reception Feb. 29 at the Community Creative Center in Fayetteville in celebration of their inclusion in Northwest Arkansas School Art Exhibitions. Works can be viewed at the center through March 2.

Celebrating the culmination of Black History Month with food, art, and learning opportunities. Springdale High School’s Black Student Union hosted a the event with food trucks, student art, and booths celebrating black history of music, hair, sports, and Civil Rights. A special thanks to Springdale High for extending lunch periods, so students have the time to explore this great event. #SpringdaleFamily

K-8 Connect continues to celebrate Black History Month. Thursday we visited Mrs. Hollowell's kindergarten through 2nd grade class. Sarahy Barrientos, Marelly Araujo Ceja, and Teresa Delacruz, from Mrs. Camp's 6th-8th grade classroom read the story "I Am Enough" by Grace Byers, a book about loving who you are, respecting others, being kind to one another, and celebrating our unique selves. #SpringdaleFamily

Congratulations to Gina Little Arkansas School Counselor Association Elementary School Counselor of the Year for the Northwest Region. Mrs. Little is a School Counselor at the Springdale Pre-K Center. Mrs. Little is in the running for the State Elementary School Counselor of the Year to be named later this school year. School board members enjoyed a delicious lunch today at Monitor Elementary. Students were very excited to guide them around school and visit classrooms. The board and administration officials got a chance to work with several students to learn different aspects of the culture of Monitor Elementary. #SpringdaleFamily
