Kate Limkary is the first Archer Learning Center student to receive an Industry Recognized Microsoft Specialist in Word. Others should be receiving them during the spring semester. Special accomplishments help make Springdale Public Schools #THEChoice.


Hair We Share provide wigs from real hair for cancer patients going through medical hair loss. Students at Walker Elementary donated a total of 72 inches of hair to the organization. After, stylists volunteered their time to cut and style the donors' hair. #THEChoice

At Central Junior High, eighth graders took part in a mock trial after reading "A Tell-Tale Heart" in English class. Students collaborated on the script by researching medical journals and pulling evidence from their reading assignment. The "jury" will have a socratic circle and determine if anyone will be found guilty. #THEChoice

The Springdale School District in Partnership with the City of Springdale are producing a 15 minute show called COUNT ME IN: A 2020 Census Show.
Count Me In will air live on the Springdale Schools Youtube Channel and the Springdale Schools Facebook Page on March 11 at 10:00am.


Pre-K in the Springdale Public School District is setting appointments in April for pre-k enrollment for parents of new students for the 2020-2021 academic year. Please call 750-8899 between 7:30 am and 3 pm for those who qualify for free or sliding scale posts. Parents who pay 100 percent can enroll at any time.

Community Leaders...we need you! The 2020 Census launches on March 12th. In preparation for the Census the Springdale Schools Communications office is producing a commercial to motivate and encourage all Springdale Residents to participate in the Census.
The focus of the commercial will be positive, inclusive and showcase Pride in our Great City


Christina Lisle, a kindergarten teacher at Shaw Elementary, is the latest winner of the Taking ROOTS award. "Mrs. Lisle is an example of leadership on her grade level team and at Shaw, by sharing her learning and teaching strategies with her colleagues. She is dedicated to building a strong foundation for her students to be successful and develop a love for reading." Great teachers help make Springdale Publics Schools #THEChoice.

Congratulations to students from Har-Ber TV Productions and District TV Productions Classes for winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at the Annual Stamp out Smoking Competition. Award Ceremony was hosted in Downtown Little Rock.




Helen Tyson Middle School hosted a Social Media and Digital Citizenship Family Night to inform parents about the current landscape of social media and internet safety. Judge Stacey Zimmermann, Ozark Guidance Counselors, and the Springdale Police Department were some of the many guest speakers at the event. #THEChoice
