Andrea Ingram named Special Education Director

Andrea Ingram has been named as the Special Education Director for Springdale Public Schools.

“I am excited to be given the opportunity to serve in the position of Special Education director for our district. I want to thank Dr. Cleveland, the School Board and the rest of the district leadership team for believing in me and giving me this wonderful opportunity to support our district in a new capacity," Ingram said. "In this role, I look forward to continuing to move forward with inclusive practices and building collaborative teams that support and encourage student achievement and high expectations for all learners.”

Ingram is replacing LaDena Eads. who is retiring. Ingram will begin her new role July 1.

Ingram began her career in special education 21 years ago as a speech-language pathologist for Northwest Arkansas Educational Service Cooperative. She worked for the cooperative by serving students ages 3-5 for five years before coming to Springdale Public Schools. Ingram worked at Parson Hills Elementary Scholl for one year and Monitor Elementary School for nine years. She transitioned into the position of Special Education supervisor for the district six years ago, where she's worked with students, staff and families to navigate learning differences and available support services.

Dr. Jared Cleveland, district superintendent, said he's excited to see Ingram venture into this new role to serve students and staff at the highest level.

"Mrs. Ingram has a rich background in speech pathology and has served on our district SPED leadership team for several years as an LEA Supervisor," said Dr. Jared Cleveland, district superintendent. "She is deeply respected among our administration and peers and has the experience, advanced credentials, knowledge and personality to lead our special education program."
