Springdale Public Schools is pleased to announce Debbie Creek has officially transitioned into the position of School Board President.
"I really like being a part of the Board, and I think this is a chance to be even more involved," Creek said. "I'm really excited about the opportunity."
Creek is a dedicated advocate for education and a long-standing member of the Springdale School Board, who takes the Board's helm with a deep commitment to student achievement, teacher support and community engagement.
"Debbie Creek has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the families, staff and students of Springdale Public Schools," said Superintendent Dr. Jared Cleveland. "Debbie brings a wealth of leadership experience, a collaborative spirit and a deep-seated passion for Springdale families."'
During her tenure on the board, Creek has been a staunch supporter of innovative learning initiatives, fiscal responsibility and the district’s continued growth. Her transition from Board vice president to board president comes at a pivotal time as the district continues to expand its Diploma+ education and academic program opportunities.
Creek has served on the School Board since 2018 and represents Zone 3.
The Springdale School Board is responsible for governing the district’s 31 campuses, which serve over 21,000 students across the region. Creek succeeds previous President Nick Emerson and assumes all presidential duties immediately. Emerson will continue to serve the Springdale Family as an active School Board member.
