The Springdale Public Schools Education Foundation presented 85 scholarships to Springdale seniors, further supporting the district’s three “Es” initiative, which prepares seniors for life after graduation by ensuring they’re employed, enrolled in college or enlisted in the military.

The number of seniors applying for local scholarships with the Springdale Education Foundation increased 150% this year, from 110 students in the class of 2025 to 280 students in the class of 2026.

The number of seniors applying for workforce scholarships also more than doubled from 15 students in the class of 2025 to 33 students in the class of 2026.

A total of 85 scholarships were awarded, a new record, with 10 new awards added this year. The Springdale Education Foundation has awarded 917 total scholarships since 2011 totaling some $1.25 million.

The Springdale Public Schools Education Foundation is deeply committed to providing Springdale graduates with financial assistance to further their educational experiences beyond high school. The individual scholarships are funded by the generous contributions of Springdale patrons who have a passion for helping graduates realize their dreams.

SPSEF manages more than $2 million of endowed scholarship money. Traditional scholarships have been created to support students who are seeking post-secondary education at a two-year or four-year college or university.
