Arkansas School Board Recognition Month
January is Arkansas School Board Member Recognition Month, and we encourage you to take time to thank our voluntary School Board members for their constant support of the district and the community!
Master Board Award
Superintendent Dr. Jared Cleveland recognized the School Board with the Arkansas School Boards Association Master Board award.
The recognition is awarded when all School Board members have achieved the individual Master Board Member award by earning at least 50 hours of continuing education each.
The ASBA Awards Programs recognize both individuals and whole boards for their continuing education and pay tribute to entire boards whose members have all attained specified training development levels.
Secondary Assistant Principal of the Year
The School Board celebrated Stephanie Hinsey of Central Junior High School, who was named the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators Secondary Assistant Principal of the Year.
The state and national Assistant Principal of the Year awards program annually recognizes outstanding secondary school leaders who have succeeded in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students.
Previous Springdale award recipients include Thomas Doppe, Elizabeth Barker and Don Eichenberger.
Champions for Kids
Six Springdale principals shared information with the School Board about how Champions for Kids supported Springdale students and staff members this school year, to include the holiday season.
Champions for Kids provides resources for children to be prepared for success in school and in life. The nonprofit prioritizes Northwest Arkansas by providing teachers in K-8 public schools with resources, incentives and rewards to help youth reach and exceed school benchmarks in reading, health, fitness and STEM programs.
