Aterra Lowe

Aterra Lowe, who has served as an instructional facilitator the past two years at Helen Tyson Middle School, has been named assistant principal at Springdale Har-Ber High School. She replaces Jacob Hayward who was named principal at Siloam Springs High School.

“I am excited and honored to be a part of the Har-Ber High School staff,” Lowe said. “It is a privilege to continue to work in the Springdale School District. I look forward to meeting and working with the students, teachers, staff and parents of Har-Ber. I am grateful to Dr. (Superintendent Jim) Rollins, the administrative leadership team and the Springdale school board for giving me this opportunity.

“I would also like to thank Dr. (principal Paul) Griep and assistant principals Curtis Gladden, Margaret Robinson and Patrick Scott for a warm welcome to their team at Har-Ber. I am thankful to Stephanie Anderson (principal), Chris Venters (assistant principal) and the entire Tyson Middle School staff for their continued support and encouragement.”

Lowe received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas with concentration in English Language Arts and Social Studies. She earned her master’s in teaching from the UA and her Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State.

Before serving at Tyson Middle School Lowe taught English Language Arts for four years in the Bentonville School District and two years in the Rogers School District.

“Ms. Lowe is an excellent instructional leader,” said Rollins. “She has served our district extremely well as a literacy and social studies instructional facilitator. In that capacity she has worked alongside teachers and administrators in bringing forward outstanding instruction-management strategies to assist teachers and serve all students.

“It is exciting to envision the contribution Ms. Lowe will make as she serves with Dr. Griep and the outstanding Har-Ber High School staff.”
